Salary must meet the national apprenticeship wage £4.81 per hour, we encourage employers to pay above this. Where you are using the apprentice rate of the national minimum wage you must only do so from the apprenticeship start date and not before. Apprentices over 19 who have completed the first year of their apprenticeship are entitled to at least the correct national minimum wage for their age. For an 16–18-year-old apprentice there is a 0% training fee from the employer, the apprenticeship standard is fully funded by the government

For 19+ years old apprentices there is an employer co-investment: Non-Apprenticeship Levy employers with 50+ employees there is a 5% training fee.Non-Apprenticeship Levy paying employer with fewer than 50 employees there is a 0% training fee.
